PTE Academic (Pearson Test of English Academic) is a computer-based English language test designed to assess the readiness of non-native English speakers to participate in university-level courses. It evaluates Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening skills through real-life academic scenarios.

The entire PTE Academic test takes approximately 2 hours to complete. This includes all four sections: Speaking & Writing (54-67 minutes), Reading (29-30 minutes), and Listening (30-43 minutes). There is an optional 10-minute break between the Reading and Listening sections.

PTE Academic uses a scoring scale from 10 to 90. The test provides an overall score as well as individual scores for Communicative Skills (Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing) and Enabling Skills (Grammar, Oral Fluency, Pronunciation, Spelling, Vocabulary, and Written Discourse).

One of the key advantages of PTE Academic is its fast result delivery. You will typically receive your test scores within 48 hours (often within 24 hours) after completing the test. Results are available online and can be sent directly to institutions of your choice.
